PLASTICS PIPING SYSTEM FOR WATER SUPPLY


Unplasticized poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) pipes for:

  • Water mains and services buried in ground
  • Conveyance of water above ground for both outside and inside buildings;

for the supply of water under pressure at approximately 20° C (cold water)

The PVC-U pipes and the elastomeric sealing ring, when in permanent or in temporary contact with water, which is intended for human consumption, shall not adversely affect the quality of the drinking water.

The pipes are manufactured in compliance with EN 1452-2 standard of CEN (European commitee for standardizarion).

The manufacturer's Quality System is in compliance with ISO 9002 standard and certified by IIP CISQ certificate n° 217 IQNet certificate n° IT 3407

Chemical resistance

The PVC-U pipe doesn’t contain vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) exceeding 1 ppm when determined by means of gas-phase chromatography using the “headspace” method according to ISO 6401.

 
Appearance

The internal and external surface of pipes are smooth, clean and free from scoring, cavities and other surface defects.
The material doesn’t contain any impurities. The ends of the pipe are cut cleanly and square to the axis of the pipe.

Laying conditions

The PVC pipes do not need to be re-enforced and covered with concrete except in particular cases. In normal installation conditions, the expected average deflection of the outside diameter of the pipes will be less than 8 %.
However deflections up to 15 %, e.g. caused by soil movement, will not affect the proper functioning of the piping system.
